CMOS sensor

Hello guys,

Is there any third party or reputed CMOS camera industry/company that can be programmed and controlled using labview ? ( As in they DO provide LV drivers ).

Anyone got any experience working with low cost CMOS camera/Image sensor or can suggest any known companies ??

Thank you.

I've used CMOS cameras from Balser, it's not low cost though.

As for the drivers, well I guess the easiest is to get the Vision Acquisition Software driver from NI, it support all NI framegrabbers as well as GigE, USB and FireWire cameras.

But by the way, why only CMOS? Need speed?

Hope this helps a bit

yeah . Need speed and my research project is confocal microscopy that needs a point to point scan that can be very fast , so each point I want an image.

BASLER right ?? Let me have a look. I was also looking at http://www.theimagingsource.com/en_US/ , their cameras claims to come along with LV drivers.

I havent seen much posts on NI forum based on this company though.

Anyway , will post my views once I get through with BASLER.

Thank you.

Never used Imaging Source... The VIs given by basler to change camera settings works but is far from complete, if you go for Balser and need help I can give you my enriched version. Send me a private message if you need it.
