From the web compatiblity list it says CRIO 9076 with LabVIEW 2011 and RIO 4.0.0 support scan interface. I created a project and add the CRIO 9076 it does not allow me to change the RIO module to use scan interface.
Some one else suggested uninstalling RIO 4.0.0 and reinstalling again which is a solution in one of the previous post. I already tried it once and not working for me.
Whats the issue now ? Is there a file or registry entry or something that just not install right?
P.S telling your customer to uninstall and install to fix a bug is a BAD answer.
Thanks.

Hi otoro,
I have the same setup here (LV 2011 with NI RIO 4.0) and I can add the 9076 without a problem. Are you trying to simulate a 9076 or connect to an actual device? If you have an actual device, are able to see the 9076 connected in MAX? Also, have you tried adding the 9076 to a new project? BTW - I am able to simulate the device without a problem as well.

What software is actually installed on the cRIO? Look at the cRIO software that's actually on the controller and you may find that just RIO 4.0.0 is installed and not 4.0.0 WITH scan interface.

Hello, I have cRIO 9076 and on PC installed LabView 2011, Real time module, FPGA module and NI RIO 4.0.0 (Everything should be the last versions downloaded from here).
But in MAX I am not getting option to install on my cRIO 9076 software which will support the "NI scan engine..." as is shown on third picture on this link.
My software wizard looks like on the picture below. Can you please advice how to instal in my cRIO 9076 SW which will support Scan interface?
Thanks Lubos

Hey Lubos,
The picture you're referencing in the link refers to RIO 3.2.1, in which, the Scan Engine installation was displayed as an additional item on the selection tree. In the version you are trying to install, RIO 4.0, there is no additional item in the tree for Scan Engine but "NI-RIO 4.0 - August 2011" does include NI Scan Engine 3.0 inside of it. When you select the RIO 4.0 installation you can see that it does include Scan Engine. Here's a picture of what I have in MAX:
When you select NI RIO 4.0 it shows what its going to "install the following recommended software to the target:".
In your picture below I can actually see that "Contents of current installation:" shows that NI Scan Engine 3.0 is already installed. So you should already have it installed on the target.
Hope this helps!

Thank you.
It was really there, I just got confused from all the versions.
