Call HDV.vi - parent process crashes

Hi,

I am using the Call HDV.vi to open the Historical Data Viewer to have a minimal environment for my users (He shell not be able to browse the network devices).

Apparently this function has a bug: When the MAX is opened a few seconds later my parent process (the exe - see Demo Call_HDV.exe) crashes. If I click on a userfolder in MAX and i close the MAX afterwards the MAX also crashes in an unexpected way. The same error occurs when using the Variable Manager and close the programm - the EXE Call_HDV crashes.

I have attached the demo-project including the build in version 8.5.1.

Hello, I couldn't reproduce the behaviour you mentioned. What version of MAX are you using. In MAX you can create a support file. Go to.... ...File -> Create Protocol -> Technical Support Regards Ruediger
