Calling what API to change the mouse cursors apperance?

HI,
I was reading some posts on this website how to change the apperance of the mouse cursor, but a lot of the links are out of date. What/how do I call the API call, and is there anything except an hourglass that I can make the cursor become, a circle for example?

I have attached an example that a customer submitted on how to make calls to Windows to change the mouse cursor. You can use it to select from the tons of different cursors that come with Windows.

I have submitted the example to intensive testing and after a variable number of cursor changes (150 to 360) the application running under Labview 6.0 crashes with the error "drawmgr.cpp" line number 3386. After this,all applications alive dont works correctly.
Have you an explanation for this ?
