Camera Gets Disconnected Automatically

Im using 2 firewire cards, with 3 INDEPENDENT Host Controllors, & 3 firewire cameras.. basler 601f.
The frame rate for each camera is 30 fps, the image is 640x480, mono, 8 bit..
The program works fine but sometimes suddenly the one particular camera(its always the same- connected to the second firewire card) gets disconnected from the OS..
On unplugging & replugging it the program again works fine.
Software used : OS win 2K, LabVIew 7.0, Viison dev module 7.0, NI IMaq for Ieee 1394 driver -1.5.
ONce the vision assitant got corrupted & some error was reported with reference to some dll. Will just reinstalling all the software do the job ??
WOuld much appreciate an answer on this very puzzling behaviour.

Hello,

When the camera is disconnected from the OS, I'm assuming that it's no longer listed in Window's Device Mangager? If that is the case, you may want to try a Window's update to get the latest service packs.

I also suggest swapping cameras because you mentioned that one particular camera is always disconnected. By swapping cameras, you can then see if this is an issue with that particular camera or an issue with the particular port. Try these things out and tell us how it goes!
