It is definitely different than text based programming.
If you just started working with LabVIEW 4 days ago, I hope you've taken tutorials. You are doing the right thing by searching and reading the forums to find answers to questions you might have.
I'm afraid you might take this harshly, which is not my intent, but after 4 days of experience, you are not quite ready to go out to answer any questions. And it really isn't necessary to resurrect that old of a thread. And the original poster hasn't been on the forums in over 6 years.
Keep browsing the forums, reading lots of threads. I spend months just reading and learning before I felt I was ready to try answering my first question.
