Can I run LabVIEW 7.1 vi's with LabView 7 Express?

I am getting back into the LabVIEW world after a 3 year hiatus. My last version that I was familiar with was 5.1

I have started working with 7.1 at my new employer and am greatly enjoying it.

Simple question: Can I run LabVIEW 7.1 vi's with LabView 7 Express?

Simple answer - no. You can't open VIs saved in a newer version than the one you have. Every version has the option to save one version backwards.

OK thanks, I was unsure which came first or if Express was an educational hybrid (I work at a university).
