Can not REGISTER a product I already have owned for over a decade without paying for support

I have owned this version of Labview since 2007.  I have installed it on a new computer recently after being filed away, which is the only one it is installed on currently, and NI will not activate the product unless I pay for support.  Technical support refuses to to connect me with someone who can activate the product even though it was working fine and all I need to do is link this serial number with this specific computer.  I need assistance.  This is completely unacceptable.

Do you mean "Register" or "Activate"

Activation should be no problem.  Registration requires an active service support agreement.

Activation allows you to use the software you purchased.  You activate through the NI License utility

Registration allows you to support the license with updates and technical support. You Register through an account at NI.com

I am trying to activate the software to use what I already own.  I am not looking for updates.  I did explain that to the call center.  My bad for using the wrong vernacular however I still cant activate the product.

Knowing nothing about what serial number you are using, I would make sure you are on the latest version of NI License Manager. When I do see problems with activating software which the serial number is good for it's usually a problem with some older version of the license manager. If you haven't already, you can also try going to ni.com/activate

Are you sure you even need to do anything other than enter the serial number.  The typical license allows you to use the same serial number on three different computers.
