Can older daq pcmcia hardware work with Labview PDA?

Hi,

has anyone tried older NI DAQ-Cards with Labview PDA? I just want to record simple waveforms, like with the "cont. aq. to spreadsheet file" vi.
I read that there are only 4 new cards supported at this time. Can I use the dll for older boards as well?

Truly yours,

Torsten Fregin,

The PDA specific drivers were written and designed with the four supported NI-DAQ cards in mind. For more information on using LabVIEW PDA check out this knowledge base Can I Perform DAQ Operations Using My PDA?

Perhaps someone in the community has tried using older NI-DAQ cards with LabVIEW PDA and can provide more details. Good luck!

What about the USB versions of DAQ devices? Are these also not supported on the PDA?

I am interested in several DAQ scenarios. The PCMCIA 5102 scope card (no PDA driver?), the PCMCIA 4050 DMM card (no driver?), any USB DAQ device if it is supported.

Can you tell me if NI is planning PPC drivers for any additional pcmcia or usb devices?

Also interested in serial data acquisition. I read comments about there not being a driver for PCMCIA 232/4 and 485/4 products. What about a single serial connection using the PDA serial cable with an external adapter (in the 485 case)? Is this easily done?

Thanks.

Hi,

I just read that somebody used DAQCARD MIO-16E-4 successfully on a PDA. Is that possible??
