Because the behaviour is intended and there never was a need to change it.
Why don't you use Altenbachs 10+ year old suggestion to give labels to the slider data?
When you attach an image next time you should consider cropping it to the relevant part. No need to show a mostly empty frontpanel that was maximized to screen…

A benefit is when multiple sliders have been added to the object and you only want to set one. Otherwise, all others must be wired between Unbundle to Bundle.
