I have configured a DELL OPTIPLEX XE2 as a RT PC and used MAX to add the Real-Time software components I require. After adding the NI-IMAQdx RT software component the connection with MAX is lost and can not be regained. A display connected to the RT PC still seems to indicate that the RT PC is still running and also indicates that the IP address is still configured correctly. I've tried to ping the RT PC with no success.
I am currently running LabVIEW 2013 DS2 and using NI-IMAQdx RT 4.0.0.3.0
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried using this PC as an RT target in the past? If so, what software versions was it running?

I've configured a couple of Dell PC's as RT PC's in the past with no issues using LabVIEW 2012 DS1 and DS2. I tried configuring this PC using 2012 SP2 and that failed which then prompted me to install LabVIEW 2013 DS2.
This specific PC (according to DELL) is an equivalent replacement for a PC we are current using that has now gone obsolete.
I've checked this PC for compatibility and all checks out okay. I'm using an external Ethernet card as the chipset on the motherboard is not supported by LabVIEW. Hyper-threading is switched off in the BIOS.

Are you able to connect again if you uninstall IMAQdx?
What happens if you disable your firewall and anit-virus software temporarily?
If you're currently connected through a router or a switch, have you tried connecting driectly to the RT PC?
