Hi All,
I have a legacy VI that uses the "RTCW TCP Send Receive.vi". My laptop currently has labview 2024 64bit, FPGA and real time modules installed but I don't see the "commwizard" folder installed in this folder "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2024\vi.lib\real-time\_support". This is where the VI is supposed to reside. Does anyone know whether we would still have this vi for LabView/Real time 2024 64 bit, if so, how would I get it to installed on my computer?
Thank you for your help.

What is RTCW TCP Send Receive? Where did you get it? What version of LabVIEW seems to be associated with it? What is "commwizard"?
You appear to have software that has little to do with (modern) LabVIEW. Can you provide more information on the code you are trying to use?

Hi Bob,
We use this VI to communicate with the remote PXI controller using TCP/IP protocol. As of LabView 2021, 32 bit, I still see it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2021\vi.lib\real-time\_support\commwizard" folder (please see the attached). I don't know what this person did to get it there. I would think it's part of the NI Developer Suite installation or one of the Add-ons would install it. I've tried but couldn't get these RTCW VIs installed there.
Thanks

Are you sue that you have the real time module installed on your computer?

Yes, I've retried twice, specifically selected 2024 real time module to install.
So, my computer also has the 2021 32 bit LabView, and as you can see, I have the "commwizard" and "legacy" folders. I don't think I did anything differently, all I did was install labview and real time module.
But for the 2024 64bit LabView, I only see the "legacy" folder
I am wondering if NI has stopped having these VIs for 2024.

I'm beginning to suspect this is true. I haven't tried creating a LabVIEW 2021 system with Real-Time and trying to verify that there really is a "commwizard" package. However, I found a post on this Forum from 2005 that referred to this package in LabVIEW 7.1, but that's all! Asking Google to find more examples didn't help. My guess is this package was dropped a decade ago, and NI is now getting rid of "old, unused packages".
