Can't play wav example VI's (Cannot recognize sound format)

Where did you hear that?  That is completely wrong.  A 64-bit PC and OS has numerous 32-bit and 64-bit coexisting happily together.

Hi,

Insufficient description of mine. exe files created by 64bit LV won't run on 32 bit runtime machines (even thought they are 64bit machines, as I'm actually doing now) only on which exe files created by 32bit LV will run, so I can't run both 64bit exe files and 32bit exe files on a single PC machine at the same time. Am I correct?

Best,

Saburo

You are correct that 64 bit .exe's won't run on a 32 bit runtime.

But otherwise not correct.  You can install both 64 bit run-time engines along side 32-bit runtime engines.  Exe's built with 64 bit LabVIEW will use the 64 bit engine.  Exe's built with 32 bit LV will use the 32 bit engine.

Hi, again.

I suceeded to sound WAV files on 64bit LabVIEW 2017 by using 'sound file read simple.vi' to read a file and then input it to 'Play Waveform' that's an express VI? I'm not sure but it's already there in the functions for sound output. Anyway, thanks a lot for your helps.

Best,

Saburo
