Can't remove DSC (Datalogging & Supervisory Control) to reinstall it

I did what (in hindsight) is admittedly a series of dumb things and I've run into some trouble. I was attempting to remove all my labview modules so that I could reinstall all of the 7.0 stuff under our new site license (i.e. a new serial number).

The bad thing is that I went through the windows remove programs tool rather than removing things via use of the Labview CD's. I then ran into problems trying to reinstall the datalogging and supervisory control module. It is no longer on the disk but, the LabVIEW DSC installer won't install it because somehow it thinks it IS still installed. Plus it won't let me remove it - under the dependent features it shows: Installed NI Products not in this di
stribution

I tried removing everything I can think of and I still got this message. So, I got desperate and removed the registry information for LabVIEW DSC. This didn't help either.

So I am at a loss in how to inform the installer that DSC has been removed so that I can reinstall it.

Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Thanks.

When you say you "tried to remove everything I can think of" do you mean you removed everything or just the ones you thought were relevant?

When you run the uninstall from the windows Add Remove Programs, you can see the list of dependencies and uninstall all of them if you choose.

If you are going to reinstall everything anyway, I would recommend the following:

1. Open Control Panels.
2. Launch Add / Remove Programs
3. Select NI Software
4. In this applet, select all products listed (you can select multiple products by holding down the Ctrl key)
5. Select Uninstall to remove all products and dependencies.
6. Run the installers again.
