Can't set "Description" DAQmx channel property for PXI-4472.

I am using LabView RT 7.1.1 on a PXI-8187 system.

I am unable to read or write the "Descr" property using the DAQmx Channel Property Node for an PXI-4472. No trouble with other PXI or SCXI cards such as PXI-6254,6031E, and SCXI-1100,1102,1520.

The "General Properties:Description" property is selectable even if I configure the filter setting for the DAQmx Channel Property Node specifically for a PXI-4472. Although it is selectable, reading or writing it produces an error. However, no errors on the other cards.

What gives.

Under the hood, DSA devices such as the 4472 are handled differently by DAQmx than the other cards you noted. It appears that in the current revision, this property is not supported for DSA hardware. I've been able to reproduce the problem here with the latest version of NI-DAQ (7.4) and will report it to R&D. I apologize for the inconvenience and will do my utmost here to inform our developers.
