Can you see if this would work??

Thanks Lynn! How did you hard-wire it to zero (and how in this program did the DAQAssistant and the control icons disappear - where did they go?), and how do I go in and manipulate things after they look the way you made them? I can see where the path goes, but am having trouble seeing it all.

Please excuse my ignorance!

Thanks,

Bethany

Bethany,

On my Mac some of the DAQ subVIs do not exist and your digital.vi subVI was not posted. It is possible that the links to those have been corrupted. Do you get a gray box with a ? inside where the subVI should be? If so, pop up on it (right click, I think, on Windows and Command-Click on Mac) and select "Relink to subVI" or Replace... and then select the original subVI from the palette.

As for hard wiring the zero, I just copied what you already had. The constant (small rectangle with 0 in it) is the constant. The blue line from the constant to the "data" input of the DAQ Assistant.vi is the "wire." What makes it "hard" is that it is not connected to a control or anything else which the user can vary at runtime.

It sounds like you are quite new to LV. That's OK. We all started as beginners. The tutorials are very good for learning some of the basic concepts. Also make sure you have the Context Help turned on (top item on the Help menu).

Thanks Lynn,

For some reason I wasn't seeing them before. Now I do see them. 🙂 Thanks for your help. Yes; I'm new to extensive programming in Labview. I've done minimal things in Labview and have been familiar with it for awhile - enough to do some basic selective things - but haven't done hardcore programming in a long time (and that time was only once).

I appreciate all your help! I needed it!
