Cannot change the text in existing mathscript box

Solved!
Go to solution

I am running Labview 8.2...I know it is super old, but I ran into some compatibility problems and found it easier to continue in version 8.2.

In my while loop I have a mathscript box that controls which cases need to be selected for each loop.  This setup worked perfectly in the past, however now when I try to change the text in the mathscript box (blue box) I can not type anything into the box.  I click on the mathscript box and it just selects it as if I want to move it around.

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Thanks!

Do you have the Automatic Tool Selection disabled? You probably have the pointer tool (the one that looks like an arrow) active.

Thank you for the quick response!  However, the automatic tool selection was enabled and the position/size/select (arrow) was selected.  I tried disabling it and selecting it, but it did not do anything differently.

You don't want the arrow tool. You want the operate tool. The one that looks like a hand.

Have you verified that you have an edition activated that actually has a license for MathScript? Check your License Manager.

Thank you so much!  For some reason the activation was temporarily forgotten...idk.  But, I opened the NI License Manager and let it connect to the Internet.  Then I restarted my computer and it worked.  I honestly do not really see what the exact problem was, but it works now.  I also have selected the correct tool, in the tool palette.

Thank you for all of your help!
