Cannot communicate with BK 8500

Hello,

I've installed the NI drivers for the BK85xx series (labview 8.5), and I'm trying to run the examples included with the download.  Nothing is working.  When I run the VI, it runs, but it doesn't seem to do anything.  Even if I disconnect the instrument, I the VI runs without yielding any errors.

I haven't modified the VIs in any way, and I've set my instrument according to the instructions on the VI main display (Baud rate = 9600, address = 0, no parity)

I've checked to make sure that I'm on Com1, and I am.  What am I missing?

Anyone?  I cannot make the 8.5 examples function.

Did you tried with Get ID.vi (from LV85XX drivers/utility/) : open visa -GetID.vi - close visa ?
