I'm clicking "Find LabVIEW add-ons" in the LV 2011 Getting Started UI, and just see som flickering on the screen, then nothing more happens.
I checked the Windows 7 event log and found this event logged some minutes before I clicked the above:
"LabVIEW information: Error: 404 "Not Found" for "national instruments/labview/ni example finder/1.0/niexamplefinderserver", file "c:/program files/national instruments/shared/ni webserver/www/national instruments/labview/ni example finder/1.0/niexamplefinderserver": Can't access URL"
It probably has nothing to do with my real problem, but I mention it anyway.
And BTW, both the Find Examples... and Find Instrument Drivers... links work fine.

Hi Sd,
The first check I will ask you to do is confirm that you have NI's "VI Package Manager" installed. This should be found under "C:\Program Files (x86)\JKI\VI Package Manager". If you do not have this you can download here.
If you already have this software installed then it is likely a problem with your firewall. Do you have LabVIEW as an exception?
Thank you,

Yes, VI Package Manager is installed, and the firewall also has the exception set.

Hi Sd,
Normally this is a problem with firewalls and exceptions, but if you have the exceptions set correctly and it is still not working then the issue is clearly a little deeper.
The VIPM is a product by JKI. They will have the best information on VIPM issues. Please see their website here.
Thank you,
