Here is the block diagram of the microscope stage controller. I’m working on a Python script for this, and I need to capture the ASCII string commands sent to the COM port. Does anyone know how I can do that? I added indicators and probes to the pink wire, but nothing appears—When I run the program, LabVIEW shows no value in the probe data. How can I fix that? . I’m a beginner with LabVIEW, so any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

We cannot analyze a truncated picture full of value property nodes and local variables. we can't even see the event configuration, what's in the other cases, what's outside the visible area, or even where the terminals for your property nodes and local variables are. We can't even tell what that subVI does! Why do you read V_limit twice is a row? Do you really think the value changes in the nanosecond between the two reads? Why are there so many coercion dots?
Please attach your VI and dependencies, make sure to use "save for previous" (e.g. 2019), and make sure to add diagram comments for all relevant code sections.

Herewith I have attached the VI file for your reference.

Can you run NI IO Trace and look at that while your code is running?

Your Vi is in LabVIEW 2025, that many of us cannot open. Did you see my note about "save for previous"? Do you know how to do that?

Yes, I think I’ve got it. Here’s the file I saved for the previous version (2019). Could you please check it and let me know if it’s working?

The attachment got stuck in a virus scan. Can you try to attach it once more?
Here's what we see:
