Change in UI behavior of coloring tool with XY Graph legend

I have recently switched from LV 2013 to 2018, and have noticed a change in the behavior of the coloring tool (the paintbrush). Previously, the coloring tool was able to set the plot color on an XY Graph by clicking on plot box section of the legend (green circle in the picture below):

Now, the coloring tool only brings up the plot options menu, same as right clicking on that area.

Interestingly, I can still use the Get Color tool on that same area to "pick up" the appropriate plot color. Is there any option that will allow me to go back to the LV2013 behavior? If not, what would be the best place to suggest a change back to the old behavior in future versions of LV?
