Check connected PXI chassis

Hello,

I am curently working with a NI PXIe-1078  chassis connected to my computer through a MXI link.

I need to check if my chassis is correctly power up and connected to my computer.

I tried to use the System configuration API as shown below, but even when my chassis is not connected, I get a connected status.

If you can help on this subject....

I have no experience with MXI buses, but most NI Hardware is designed to be "discoverable" by MAX, regardless of how it is connected to the PC (for example, serial ports, VISA, IEEE 488.2, TCP/IP, USB, Fire-Wire), provided you have the appropriate ports and drivers for those ports.  So can you see your device in MAX?

Hi Bob,

Unfortunately, I have the same problem in MAX : my chassis is declared as connected, but there is an icon on my chassis with a white cross in a red circle.

So I guess that MAX knows that my chassis is not in-line, even if the chassis is declared as Connected.
