Hi All,
We are plannning to sell labview based aplications. Our applications use NI Visa for communicating with instruments and some of our company products. Do we need to purchase licenses for distributing the applications to the customer.
Regards,
Pavan

pls read point number 13 listed in http://www.ni.com/pdf/legal/us/software_license_agreement.pdf
Generally, you may distribute or otherwise make available Authorized Applications without paying additional fees to NI.
And i feel , it is lot more beneficial to talk to NI people regrding the licensing , than posting the query here.

ranjini is right.
In general, NI Visa are included in Labview (free), but you have to pay the application distribution

Hi,
Just one question for clearance:
In which cases the NI-VISA Deployment License (p/n 777300-00, price € 109.00 ) should be purchased?
For example, LabVIEW application uses standard PC RS232 Com port for communication with our own device (and this is not GPIB-, VXI-, PXI device).
(We using SubVIs from Data Communication->Protocols->Serial palette). Should we purchase VISA license for deployment or not?
best regards,
Andrey.

As i said, those functions are free, as far as i know.
To be 100% sure, ask your local NI dealer.
