Hello all,
Just want to say again how helpful I am for all the help I have received on this forum. I have recently been given an assignment that falls somewhat outside my skillset as I am still in the novice stage of LabVIEW and have never used an Xbee before this.
The assignment is to control a Tenney temperature chamber that is controlled by a versa Tenn V. I was able to do this serially by downloading the Versa Tenn LabVIEW drivers but when I tried connecting 2 XBees to the serial ports of both instruments I could not recreate the effect. Both the Xbees are able to perform the range test fine and send strings to eachother using X-CTU (XBee's own communication problem), however, simply plugging them into the serial ports is not enough.
My question is whether or not this can be accomplished via LabVIEW. Are there any drivers for the XBee that I can add into the attached Versa Tenn V drivers thereby circumnavigating the need for a wired serial connection? Conversely, would it be possible to send the same string commands via X-CTU and get the correct responses without using LabVIEW? Is there a golden middle here?
I apologize for being such a newbie but I am really up a creak here so all advice is GREATLY appreciate!
Thanks in advance,
Yusif

So you're able to communicate to the Versa Tenn V by serial communication through LabVIEW, but your Xbees are not transmitting the proper commands between the two?
Here is a solution another customer and AE came up with. https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-3023
Let me know if that helps.
