A few years ago my company designed (and sells) a MIDI-command compatible 4x2 audio mixer. It is controlled via LabVIEW through the RS-232 port. I asked another LabVIEW forum on the MIDI issue and I got advise to use activeX. We found out by a user that our mixer could also be used in combination with MIDI software by using a driver (available from different companies) that sends MIDI-commands to the COMport.
