Well, I played a bit with those two properties and it seems LV has problems properly displaying the gauge (at least 7.0 does).

My favorite is the value selected as the default, but you can go through some others to see how this affects the appearance of the gauge.

If you're seeing the gauge normally, this probably means that this issue was fixed in later versions.

OK, this reminded me of some time I wasted many years ago with dials.
I had a manager who insisted the application include an indicator for the current time.
At that time, I didn't understand why; Windows has a clock in the tray?
So in a little rebellion, I placed an analog clock on the front panel.
 
Had forgotten about that little piece of code until now.
But found it, I guess I archive too much junk!
