You haven't said much about your final application.  I'm unsure why you need to monitor input.

The most reliable way to take mulitiple samples on an input at regular determined intervals is to let the DAQmx device handle everything and just give you the output waveform.

My final application needs to get the inputs and the user should be able to moitor the data coming in because if the data will be  above or elow a threshold than  the user will have to take action with the  another device that is being used.

Thus i need the program to show the  waveform graph in realtime a the data comes in and at the end write it all to a file  so that it can be used to refer at a later date.

Hope this helps. I really do need help to get this program working
