Compiling an FPGA VI Remotely LV 2010 - Username Issue

I have been having difficulty trying to get my FPGA VIs to compile on a remote machine using LabVIEW 2010.

I have followed the steps described here but receive the error that my username is invalid or too long.

I have checked that the login details and remote machine details are correct. In order to log into the machine I have to include the domain in the username e.g. PXI-SYSTEM-NAME\administrator. If I try to simply use 'administrator' I get a dialog pop up before compilation starts stating that my details are incorrect and asking me to input my username and password.

Is there something that I am missing or a way around this issue?

Any help would be much appreciated.

It would be nice to hear from someone that this remote compile feature is working with LV2010. I used it without any problems up to LV2009, but since LV2010 I'm not able to remote compile at all.

BTW the default user name is not administrator. The manual says it's admin without password.

Hi John,

Could you possibly send in the project you are creating? There shouldn't be any issues regarding the compilation from a remote PC. Are you starting the compilation via a remote panel?

I have now successfully managed to get the VI to compile remotely.

I was making the mistake of using the login credentials for an account on the remote machine instead of the login details for the compile server program ('admin' and no password)
