Compiling in Labview 5.1 after installing Labview 6.0i

We are trying to compile in Labview 5.1 on a machine that has labview 6.0i installed. The build application function is returning an 'Error 1...' type error. We narrowed the problem down to the NIReport.llb. If a vi contains one of the NI Reports vis, the labview 5.1 app builder will not build an application using this vi. This problem occurs on both Win98 and Win2000. Any advice please?

Hi,

Lv 5.1 and 6 don't get along too well on the same machine.
When you have installed LV 6 it has updated the Nireports.dll, this may cause errors in LV5.1.
My suggestion is to uninstall LV6, re-install LV 5.1 and everithing should be fine.
I experienced problems like that before and I keep LV 5.1 and LV 6 on different PC's.

The solution to this problem was to install the LabVIEW 6.0.2 updater for LabVIEW 6.0i.
