Computer hangs while viewing Vi's

I am having a problem with my LabView 7.1 Prof Dev   running on my new machine. I am loading a large Application. As I browse around opening and closing different VIs the computer hangs hard. The mouse and keyboard become non-responsive. The only way out is to hold the power button. The machine has not hung with other applications like ProE, AutoCad, Cadence layout/capture, or any other windows product. I have also tried loading LabView into a virtual environment where it also crashes. The application I am loading was created on another machine where it operates normally. I have updated both the computer  bios  and the video driver to the latest available. I have included a listing of my machine information.

Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance..  Dave E

Are the problems related to this one particular VI? Can you open up example programs or build simple VI's? Are there any drivers such as NI-DAQmx in your application?

Did you encounter any errors when installing LabVIEW? It sounds like it might be worth your while to uninstall and then reinstall it.
