Configure Formula box hung/locked

I was putting in a formula in the configure formula, when I got the bright idea to reorganize my inputs.  In moving items down the list from X1 -> X5, when I cleared the X1 box, the interface hung.  Stupid me, I have not saved recently and really do not want to lose what I have been doing.  Anyone got a quick way to either kill the Confgure Formula dialog or save the VIs behind it without losing the unsaved VIs?
Thanks

I don't know if you can save the VI, but you may find a copy in the temp folder.

If you can open and run other VIs, you may be able to save everything through VI server.  Get a list of all VIs in memory then perform a 'save as' method on them and save them to a new location.  I would save them to a new name and location as I think some may become corrupt due to the hang.

I think you might not be able to do this, however.  I don't think you can run another VI while a config page is up.  It's worth a try, though.

Hope that this helps,

Thanks, I had tried that before I posted.  I ended up killing LabVIEW in task manager and starting over again.  Something to add to the wish list.  ability to kill modal windows without killing background VIs in the G editor

Hi Paul,

If you really want the developers to know what's on your wish list, please submit a Product Suggestion through the "feedback" link on www.ni.com/contact. Your suggestion will then be considered by the LabVIEW developers for future versions of LabVIEW.

Thanks for the feedback!
