I'd recommend getting the Aurora Tools Development Kit and see what they say about using their API. It appears that they do provide some hooks into their software so that you can write your own applications -- the key question is how you communicate with their Control Box using your software. You might also ask the company if they have LabVIEW drivers or know of users who have successfully integrated Aurora into their LabVIEW code.
