Consultant/Client resources

Is anyone aware of any online resources for connecting Clients to Consultants.

I have seen resources for other types of disciplines, especially for IT professionals (moonlighter.com?) and C/C++ programmers, but I have yet to find one that includes or caters to people who use and program in LabVIEW.

If anyone is aware of anything, it would probably be useful to nearly everyone that posts here, as most of us are either clients or consultants, or could find use of such a resource.

Thanks,

If you're a consultant, then you should apply to become an Alliance member. You can go to http://www.ni.com/alliance/qualify.htm to check on the qualifications. Once accepted, you'll be listed at NI's Alliance Member Directory at http://www.ni.com/alliance/alliance_member.htm. Before I was enticed by the promise of stock options at a fast rising dot com company, I was a member and found that it was essential to gaining clients.

Somehow I knew that would come up. Been there done that. I will keep this REALLY short and say that I am working on that, but expect it to take over a year just to get the membership. Things seem to be JUST a bit different down here, and Alliance membership isn't really easy to get, and even easier to lose.

You are quite right though, the program is great. It offers great resources (on a national level anyway).

However; as it is out of my reach, I have to seek other resources. And for those faced with the same dilema as myself (you have to have three clients who liked your work before you can get membership which is vital in getting the clients you need in order to get the membership so that you can get clients which will help you get the me
mbership you got because you had the clients because of the program which...I think you get the picture...)

Anyway, if anyone knows of any other resources out there, I would be grateful. I am not the best salesman in the world (I'm told that I'm too honest...gee, go figure) and have been having trouble marketing and finding contracts. I am really interested in the Alliance program (on a national level anyway), but can't get there without three referrals.

Besides, I'm sure that there are a lot of people that come here that would like to find consultants (they post all the time) and perhaps the Alliance Program isn't going to serve their needs either.

Thanks for the response so far though.

The original has expired so I don't know what you're after. Are you looking
for someone to hire you or for a company to contract work out to? I can
recommend an instance of the latter. 😉

Well, first and foremost, I'm looking for work...but that's not the point of this posting.

I am trying to locate an online website or some other resource that allows people and companies to post their needs, and LabVIEW consultants can go and find contracts.

There are a number of sites like this for other programming languages and skillsets (such as $.moonlighter.com the $ being it, creative, ect...). I have not been able to find anything similar that is a good source of postings for LabVIEW work, not that there is any out there at the moment.

Thanks
