Hi! I'm sorry for re-open this discussion, but I'm having troubles with this "new" API. In the past I made a very cool VI using the Google Earth COM API (Google_Earth-App_82.llb), but now I realize that it doesn't works with the latest version of GE... So I'm trying back to live my old VI with the help of that example, but when I run it shows an error message: "Code 97. Unknown System Error in GE_Start.vi". I really don't understand how to get control of the GE ActiveX again. Here are two snapshots: 1) My old VI (when it worked). 2) The error I'm having. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Are you using 32 or 64 bit LabView?  It works fine for me in 32 bit LV, but not in 64.  Anyone else run into this issue?

I have been unsuccessful using it in 64 bit.  Also, I am trying to use this example and build upon it.  Has anyone been able to use the API plugin to do something as simple as create a point?

I have attached what I have built, it doesn't run right now.  Keep in mind there are commented structures.  There is ambiguity in the "close" feature, when to close, what to close, etc.  If anyone more experienced with the API can help, that would be great.  Also I have been using KML (maybe Java?) google earth code examples from the google earth playground.  Specifically :http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/#creating_placemarks

Wow! I'm using Labview 64bit. Is this a 64bit-problem?? 😕
