I'm not sure if a CAR exists for this one. This occurs in 2011 11.0.1f1 (32bit). The subject and attachment explain it pretty clearly. It seems like different refnums are created pointing to the same control.

(Edit)
A colleague just reported back that this behavior is the exact opposite in LV 2012. Refnums 1 & 2 are not found when this example is opened in 2012.

Do either of those two threads match your situation?

Sounds like the same issue Ben. Thanks. I'll have to try this in 2012 myself to see what happens. As long as NI is aware of it...

And if your situation still persist in 2012 with patch then post back so they can whack that bug as well.

I just tested this in 2012 f1 and confirmed that the bug still exists, but it behaves the exact opposite as it did in 2011. Strange....

An AE should be following up soon.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for letting us know about this bug. I've reproduced the behavior you described in 2011 and 2012, and I have reopened CAR# 323332 so it can be addressed. Scalar datatypes appear to be working correctly, so it looks like the CAR was only fixed for some cases but not others.
Thanks,
Morgan
