Controlling an EA-PS 2042-10B Power supply

Hi everyone

I have an exortic problem that I hope some of you could help me with. I have a EA-PS 2042-10B power supply from Elektro-Automatik, which can be controlled via a mini-USB cable and some VIs from the company homepage (http://www.elektroautomatik.de/en/downloads/labview.html), but unfortunately my ability to control and sometimes just detect (using the scan VI) the power supply with my Labview 8.5 is random.  I am currently using this type of VI setup and I wondered if anyone had experience and/or advise for me on how to improve my VI for this application:

I know that the company also makes a program that allow remote control of the power supply (buildt in Labview), but it cannot interact with other VIs 😞 (http://www.elektroautomatik.de/en/downloads/software/ps2000b-soft.html).

I downloaded the driver and it seems that all of the subVIs are password protected. Since I don't have a programming manual (attach one if you have it) and hence have no idea on the communication protocol, you need to contact the company since they are the ones that wrote the code.

I know it has been a long time since this thread was created. But have you tried closing the reference to the supply. I have had similar problems because the resource was left in a weird state. Try closing the reference to the device every time you are done using it.
