Controlling coolers via LabVIEW .vi?

Hey everyone, thanks for the help!

I thought no one had answered and just today, I got an e-mail telling that there were answers here.

As I'm using a laptop, there's no parallel port. Therefore, I think the best way for me would be to use the way Alain S posted.

However, I figured out a way to do the entire thing without using Labview, using only microcontrollers. If that doesnt work, I'll probably try making my own DAQ card/system.

Anyway...thanks a lot for the answers!
I'll probably use some of those ideas in future projects..

That will work Smiley Surprised

And if it doesn't it's because the code inside the µC is wrong Smiley Sad

If you didn't select a µC yet you can consider the PSoC, analog & digital processing in one chip.

Coq rouge,

Measure temperature with a sound card = {Get a cage of crickets.  Monitor the cricket chirp rate.  Calculate temperature from rate.}?

Crickets are nice, but not for measurements ;). Shall I elaborate the idea. It is only good for a hobbyist project. Because few sound cards behave equal, and they tend to drift somewhat. So calibration is needed.

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
