Converting LV 2009 to an older version.

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a friend that uses LV 8.5.  I am currently using LV 2009 and would like to share some ideas with him.  He cannot open my project using 8.5.  Is there an easy way to convert my 2009 project to 8.5?  I am fairly new to LV and only have one project under my belt, so please be kind.  A search of the forum did not return any results.  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Within the limits of things in 2009 that weren't present in 8.x you can "Save for previous version" a selection under the "File" selection in the toolbar.

Go to File in the toolbar, then select Save for previous version. You can save back to 8.0 in the 2009 version.

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

Thank you guys!  I had no idea this function was there (and that simpleSmiley Surprised).  Perhaps next time I will spend a little time researching before posting.

Your welcome! It is always a good idea to do a little research, one you actually learn a bit more that will "stick with you", and for me, I stumble on other things that I hadn't noticed before, sort of an "oh, wow, that's cool". Of course researching yourself may take a bit longer, particularly in the second case, as I have been known to get side-tracked, looking at my new "discoveries".
