Copy Image to Image How to retain overlay

Hi Ppl...

I'm Using IMAQ Image to Image function to append one image on the top of the other. However I found that overlays in the original images are not retained in the appended image. Is their a way to retain the overlays ?

Did you use

IMAQ Copy Overlay

Copies an image overlay from the source image to the destination image. If the destination image already has an overlay, this VI adds the source overlay to the existing overlay.

If I have to use Copy Overlay then I guess both  Source and destination should be of the same size. After appending two images they will not be of same size. So I think copy overlay will not work.

Can you post some images and a screen shot of the vi that you have tried?

This is the VI that I've used to append one image on the top of the other. I want to retain the overlay in the original Image.
