Has anyone tried interfacing Coreco Frame grabbers with Labview. If so, I
would appreciate any help. Thanks

My colleague and I have successfully interfaced a coreco PC-dig framegrabber with labview (using NI vision VIs). Alliance Vision has a commercial product for this but they don't offer a demo version. We are happy to share whatever we have...

If you want to share something, please start a new thread instead of continuing in a 5-6 yr old one. many people would ve left; luckily in this case, only one has left, it seems... Smiley Happy

A new thread will draw an immediate attention.

Hello kaccie, I am working on coreco's PC-dig too. I have spend a lot of time on transferring the c driver to labview driver, but it's too complicate and I can not finish it. Can you help me? my email is 92dawei@163.com.  Thanks a lot!

Hi weicha,

Do you have a C driver for the Coreco hardware? if its a dll, it can be accessed as-is through LabVIEW. You could use "Call Library Function Node.vi" or the "Code Interface Node.vi".

Please take a look at the Functions»Connectivity»Libraries & Executables Palette.

The company provide the SDK which is IFC5.6 software. It include all information to run in VB or VC program. There are lots of dll files in it's library directory. I am sure the driver dll file was included. There are two problems to use the dll. one is that I dont know which one is the driver and I dont know the function protype cause there are no *.h file with the dll. I know how to use Call Library fuction.

the real problem is I don't know which one is the dll, maybe more than one. and I can see the function in dll but I haven't  the funtion type, so I cannot call it in LabVIEW. There is a tool for import dll file in v8.5, but it need the dll and it's *.h file. so that is the problem.

the labview driver is the only hope for me to use the coreco pc-dig card in labview.

Hi Weicha,

I understand your problem. The NI guy is correct theoretically but there's a little more to it. I'll be back at my lab on monday and I will send you our labview "driver" then. By the way, IFC 5.8 is available now. You should use that instead.

Talk to you later,

Kaccie
