Crash after a few hours

Hi everyone,

I have developped an application which uses a PCI-RS232-16 card from NI.
My config is :

Labview 6.1
Windows XP Pro
512Mo on a Pentium 4

All of the 16 COM are used simultaneously, in the same way, each by an asynchronous instance of a VIT generated via VI-server.
The application is OK in the development environment.

But the redistributable version (generated via App. Builder) crashes after a few hours (3 to 6 hours). The GUI is already displayed, but the controls don't respond, and there is no more communication on the COM ports. The only thing to do is to Kill the process. And it's impossible to restart the application without restarting the computer.

Thanks for interesting in my problems ... and to stand my poor english.

Hi Michael,

some reason for a crash:

memory: using the profiler-vis/tools or your system-monitor, have a look at your free memory while the
application is running

VISA: I had also some problems with hock-ups with VISA-calls. Install the newest VISA-Driver.
Additionally you can run the NI-Spy to log your VISA-calls. (In my case the problems nearly
dissapear while running the NI-Spy)

Good luck
Henrik
