Create snippet with VIPM

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am creating my own packages of VIs with VIPM builder.

I didn't find the tips to add snippet (ie when I click on the icon, I want to add the code inside the VIs and not the VI itself).

For example, you can add snippet for the VI "Case (Error IO)" in "OpenG Error" package.

I would like to do the same but how to configure my VI to be added as a snippet and not as a VI ?

Thank you.

You do not configure it in the VI but in the palette where you place the VI.

In VI Package Builder, go to Palettes>Functions Palette, right-click the VI and select Place Folder Contents.

Not obvious to find when you don't know, but works well !

Thank you

I wrote one similar at JKI/VIPM/LAVA some years ago when VIPM was first released. I might do that. Thanks for liking. I hope it is useful for other LabVIEW on Linux adopters out there.
