You need to elaborate on your question. For example:
Who is receiving the alert? Nurse? Doctor?
Where is the nurse/doctor?
Will the alarm be sounded in the patient room?
What are the current working practices at the hospital site?
In general, there is a trend toward using "silent alarms" in hospitals. And also to send alarms directly to the responsible person (rather than just beeping and blinking a light in the hallway). Having loud alarms can disturb patients, especially when there are many of them. Best solution is to sound a silent alarm, but send it to the correct recipient on their handheld device. Don't just flash a light in the hallway that people will assume someone else is responding to. Also "force" the alarm recipient to acknowledge the alarm. This can be done by "annoying" the recipient until they acknowledge (vibrate or increase severity until they respond). Having loud, constant alarms that are not "sent" to a specific owner, and do not require acknowledgement will lead to "alarm fatigue" (when nurses ignore alarms because there are so many irrelevant alarms).

As this is a Student project I doesn't have to be anything super spectacualar.
I would just let to set certain parameters to sounds a alarm....Silent of open doesn;t matter. Which ever one is easier since Im not the best at labview.
I not thinking about the TCP as I am finding the componets in Labview that would allow me to set parameters and a procedure to setting up the audiable Alarm.
Thanks You 🙂
