Creating a UDL programmatically

One way I have done it in the past is to look for a UDL if it was missing, Create the temp.udl file and call the command line with "cmd /c path/temp.udl" whete the path is the path to the temp file.  This will bring up the windown udl config window.  this is not a silent method but works with almost no extra coding.

The ODBC tree isn't going to give you the information you need. You need the get the "InstalledInstances" key for Access, so look for the key I had mentioned to see if you have it in there. Like I said, I don't have Access, so there's no way for me to know where the key is.

Hi

Unfortunately I lost my job at DSE, so I haven't a LabVIEW PC right now. Fortunately I've got another job at TC Electronic 🙂 So if you can wait untill around the first of August, I will be glad to help you with the Access access.
You may send me the code you already got in a 7.1 format. I think I have an old license for that version.

Best regards
