Creating new block for a new sensor

Is there a document / tutorial / link on how to create a ".ev3b" file for a new sensor block  that I'm building?

I have a sensor that's running in Linux environment, but I want add that as a sensor to EV3 and be able to do a "Block Import".

How can I create the block file .ev3b  to do that Block Import?

Looking for a document / tutorial.

You might consider looking/asking in the LabVIEW for LEGO Mindstorms Forum (look down on the list of Forums) -- I, for one, had no idea what EV3 was!
