I have 2 lab workstations with identical setups. One works fine... the other will not launch the DAQ Assistant configuration helper when I drop a DAQ Assistant VI into the block diagram. What could be the issue?
Computer Model: Lenovo T470
Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 22H2
LabView Version: 2020 SP1
Hardware: NI USB-6008

Ditch DAQ Assistant.
Use NI-DAQmx API. See NI-DAQmx Example Locations for LabVIEW and Text-Based in Windows

Or you can use FlexLogger. Lite edition is free.

I don't understand. DAW Assistant is one of the VIs that's in the NI-DAQmx folder.
This still doesn't answer my question why the helper won't pop up. I have no way to configure the VI for inputs or outputs.
Alternatively, what can I use if I want to send a signal out to trigger a 5VDC relay?

Hi Engineer,

As has been said use the plain DAQmx functions and get rid of that ExpressVI.
There are lots of example VIs in the example finder about DAQmx and they all DON'T use the DAQAssistent…
Reading this might help, too. (As has been said before!)

Sometimes the DAQAssistent part isn't installed properly.
