DAQ Huge amount of data

Hi list,

some coworkers of mine want to have a system with DAQ card and LabView
under Win XP, acquiring 16 channels over 7 seconds with 4kHz sampling
rate? This results in half a million datapoint, each 12 bit.
I think this is ok to process in a PC of mowadays when using enough RAM.

But what is the best method to transfer the data from the 'card' to the
PC memory?
Any comments or even better sample VIs are very welcome.
