It's called "Merge Errors" under the "Dialog & User Interface" pallete. If you want to know more than the name gives away, I would suggest checking out the help for the function.

As you look very good at programming in Labview, may I jusk ask you some advice for a manual/book where I can find these basic pieces of information and also some examples for common VIs? I've got a couple of them, but they don't look very user-friendly. Please let me know

I'm really not the best person to ask about learning material. I learned with a combination of experimentation, help files, and working with a CLA. I'm going to lob the question back up to the forum and hope someone else can respond.
