It is possible that the example needs LV RT or FPGA, so this is not an issue here. Are you able to load and execute at least a single example (a basic one without any drivers and such)?
Otherwise, i get the feeling that your installation is messed up.
Did you install in the default directories? Did/do you have administrative rights on the system? What is the OS?

What about other examples not using DAQmx? Do they load and run properly?
"I am not able to execute any of the DAQmx examples" Does that mean that you can load them, but running them will ......do what? Create error dialogs (something like invalid device, device not found or similar)?
If so, please simulate a device using MAX.
hope this helps,

Then you have to simulate a device first and then choose this device for your DAQ application.

And how do i do this? Do you have any tips or guide to where i can do this step by step? The problemis that i am doing a paper and working on a pump system. Where we are going to measure the velocity and drive of the motor and the prsure in the valves. And we have to use labview. And as i said i ampretty new to this. So i am trying to make this work. We are also suppsoed to control everything from labview. That is why we are using it. We have 2 presure sensors. and a moment sensor for the motor.
any help ?

Do you have access to the system with the DAQ devices? Maybe it is simpler if you can test some things there.
If not, you have to simulate a device as i already wrote in a previous reply (follow the link in that reply).
Maybe you should contact your local NI rep and ask for a short presentation of DAQ-applications.
What you describe is nothing uncommon for LV but without a basic knowledge of LV, you will have a hard time. So i suggest you to either try to visit a LV B1/2 class at NI.
Regarding your initial question:
I have never encountered a system where DAQmx was properly installed (palette and examples available) but the DAQ Assisitent was missing. It is possible that it was removed from the palette though, but this requires someone with appropriate knowledge......
hope this helps,
Norbert

I'm having the exact same problem as has been described. In MAX, I can see both the real device (NI USB-6211) and the simulated device which I have made. I can also assign tasks and get a functioning output.
However, there is NO DAQ at all in the software. If I go to express view->inputs there is no DAQ. If I go to Advanced view, Measurement I/O, there is a blank empty white box...no DAQ at all. If I go to search, and start typing in DAQ, or Assist, or both, there are no results - no DAQ at all.
I have a fresh copy of Labview 8.6 installed with appearetnly every feature I could ever imagine using...and the one I need is not there.
What do I have to do to get the DAQ setup?

You have to installed NI DAQmx after the installation of LabVIEW in order to have access to the DAQmx API.
hope this helps,
