DAQ card not selectable in LabVIEW

Solved!
Go to solution

I have installed a PXI-6122 card. The device is listed as "Device working properly" in MAX:

23584i2B56C56C941767E4

Now I want to select the device in a device constant in LabVIEW 2010, but is not listed there:

23586i47B1231733DB3BCA

I guess it has to do with how MAX recognizes the PXI card, see previous posting.

Does anybody have an idea how I could make this card work and selectable in LV?

You could try global virtual channels and bring then in that way. This would mean that you create your channels in DaqMX and bring then in. Just a thought.

I think your right with your guess about MAX. I read the post before need some more information from you.

The Version of your NI-DAQmx Driver?

Whichever Operation System are you using?

Do you try to set the PXI-6122 in another slot of your Chassis? What happend then?

--> 9.1.5

--> It wasn't working on Windows XP. I now installed Windows 7 (32 bit) and it is still not working.

--> The problem is not related to the PXI-6122 card, but rather to PXI cards (and maybe HP computers) in general, as I found out in the meantime:

When I put the card into another slot (there were only two free slots), the PC didn't boot anymore.

The problem was solved by the NI DAQmx developers:

Thanks a lot!
